Welcome to the Cycle Touring Association of Western Australia (Inc.)
Bicycle Pannier Touring, Road Cycling and Mountain Biking around the Perth region.

The Cycling Touring Association of WA is a recreational cycling club which organises a wide variety of recreational & social rides, including short and long day rides, weekend trips and longer cycle tours of a week or more.

The club has rides every Sunday throughout the year.  Ride distances range from 20km to 80km in a day, and cover city, coastal and country areas. We have a selection of longer challenge rides that cater for those wishing to achieve some personal goals in cycling.

During the warmer summer months, we have mid-week dinner rides.  These are held about every fortnight on a Wednesday night and are usually relatively short (e.g. 20km).

From time to time, we hold weekends away.  Details of these are advised in our newsletter and the rides calendar.  They usually correspond to major public holidays, but not always.  There is usually a trip away for the Easter weekend.

About every 2 or 3 months have Social Nights which are normally held on the first Wednesday of the month.  The social nights generally consist of a presentation by one of the members and a light supper.

Each year in the spring, the club organises the week-long "On Your Bike"  tour. This is a fully supported tour which visits the country areas of Western Australia. See the tours page for more information on this years tour.

A newsletter is produced every 2 months and includes details of the next few months rides and events. It also includes articles written by the members about previous rides, tours, bikes, and anything else the editor thinks is appropriate. If you would like to submit an article for the newsletter please send an email to  Please NOTE that the deadline for for each newsletter is the last day of the odd numbered months.

The association is an incorporated non profit organisation and is governed by a constitution (PDF).  Each year there is an Annual General Meeting that elects the Committee.  Various awards are also presented. All committee members and ride organisers are volunteers.
