Meeting at Warnbro Station at 8.00 for depart at approx 8.15 we head west to bikepaths at Waikiki Beach. Traveling north thru beautiful Warnbro Sound and along to “Mersey Point” Safety Bay. Meeting at Pengos Cafe’ at approx 9.00.

Then participants have the option to either “walk cross the mersey”

or as in above “ferry cross the mersey” that is ;

I have spoken to DPAW and if the weather is fine and tide low( and it is for the whole of January) They have no objection to walking the sandbar to Penguin Island. Hundreds will be doing same, there will be no shortage of company.

or; Taking the Ferry . Cost is $18.00 return. every 1/2 hour.

Time for whole Event. approx 4 Hours

There will be approx 2 hours to explore the Island .Swimming some fantastic beaches or visiting the DPAW wildlife area.

Once returning from island and depending on time we will set off for Rockingham station or ride bikepaths north.

Change rooms and showers at Warnbro Sound or Mersey Point or Shoal Water Bay.

There is no Cafe on Island but utility’s and water are available.

Visitors can bring a backpack with snacks and water container.

Visitors could bring some casual clothes and footwear for Island.

The major bike lock area is not shaded so seat cover is useful.

Participants can also leave Perth later if they wish and exit at Rockingham stn .Meeting with group at Pengos Cafe at 9.00am
