Discovery Day in Nannup – Mountain Bike Orienteering
Saturday April 4 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
There’s not a lot to do in Nannup, so why not join Scott of the Antarctic and his faithful sidekick Nick, in their thinly-disguised quest to hunt down the elusive Nannup Tiger.
Sunrise at 06:31, sunset at 18:08
Start Time: To Be Advised.
Start Location: To Be Advised.
Description: Ever tried Mountain Bike Orienteering (MTBO)? Now’s your chance! MTBO is a fun navigation sport suitable for all ages and abilities. Just like foot orienteering, you navigate your way around a series of checkpoints using a map (and optional compass)… but this time, you are doing it on a bike!
Best suited for:
• MTB
• Gravel bike
• Touring bike
• Hybrid
Road bikes with drop bars and skinny tyres are not ideal, as you will be riding on grass and gravel while holding a paper map.
· No map holders will be provided, you will need to hold the map while riding.
· Bring a pen – must! You will record each control marker’s number and two-letter code on the provided A3 map.
· Compass optional.
Important – Pre-Registration Required.
We need to print colour A3 maps in advance, so maps will only be prepared for those who register.
· Please message Scott to pre-register.
· Register before CoB Wednesday, 29 March 2026.
· Please do not turn up without registering.
Come along and give it a go, it is a great mix of riding, thinking, and exploring!
