OYB 2023 Prologue

Meet at the southern end of the Narrows Bridge at 8:30am for an 8:45am start. This ride is an opportunity for OYB participants, particularly for new participants, to meet and ride with other On Your Bike (OYB) cyclists. The ride will be mostly on bike paths with a stop for coffee and cake at Leighton Beach. Then the ride returns to the Narrows Bridge via the Fremantle train line PSP.

From the carpark on the corner of Morrison and Peachy Roads we follow the Heritage Rail Trail (gravel) through John Forrest National Park where we stop for coffee at The Bay Tree Cafe in Chidlow. Then it is mostly a gentle descent back. The ride will be at a moderate Mountain Biking Pace, 15-20 km/hr.

Meet at carpark corner of Gt Northern Hwy and Chittering Rd. 9.00am for 9.15am start. This ride is the same as the 50k achievement ride , but without the time limit. Social pace to enjoy the winter scenes. Bring water and a muesli bar to break the journey. Coffee at the end at Tailwinds Cafe, Bullsbrook.

This ride will go on bike paths in several suburbs, including: South Perth, Burswood, Carlisle, East Cannington and Leeming. This will be followed by bike lanes in Mt Pleasant before the coffee stop in Applecross. The ride returns to the Narrows Bridge passing the Raffles Hotel and finally, along the river on the Kwinana Freeway bike path.
