Ride through the Foothills

This is a 53km mainly flat ride – there’s a couple of small hills on the homeward journey and is ridden over a mixture of PSP, quiet urban & semi-rural roads.
Meet at Cannington Station at 8:15am for a 8:30 start. We’ll follow the Armadale train line out to Kelmscott, taking in a quick view of the Champion Lakes Regatta centre before utilising the new Kelmscott rail underpass to cross the rail line and Albany highway. From here we’ll pick up Brookton highway off River Road and ride up the lower slopes and refuel at Avocado’s at around the 21km point. After our stop we’ll head for home along the foothills – running through Kelmscott, Gosnells, Maddington and Orange Grove before returning to Cannington via the Kenwick wetlands.
