On Your Bike Tours

‘On Your Bike’ (OYB) is the CTA’s premier touring event of the year. This week long tour is held in spring each year and visits country areas of Western Australia.

The event is fully supported – bags containing all your camping and clothing gear are carted by truck each day to the next destination. This allows you to ride light and enjoy the day’s ride.

When you get to the next destination you retrieve your bags and set up your tent for the night. Camping is usually on the town oval with access to the community recreation centre for showers and toilets. A cooked dinner is provided each night in the recreation centre enjoying the company of the others on the tour. A cooked breakfast is also available in the morning before setting out for the next day’s ride. We use local community groups or businesses for the catering to bring income into the town and get to know the locals.

Tour numbers are limited to a maximum of 130 people. This keeps the tour to a manageable size for use of local town facilities for camping and catering. It is also a nice size for socialising and getting to know people on the tour. The costs are kept to a minimum so the tour fee is very good value for money.
